Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
This is your time to own a robot vacuum. CNET's best-rated models will be available for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.
- Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. The most significant innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. This uses AI to identify objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's the first robot to provide you with pictures of the objects that it encounters, meaning you can instruct the robot to stay clear of it.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt with ease while leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app that lets you schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't sweep areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it by voice.
Its design is also an improvement over the rest and features a sleek, top piece that appears more like a toy robotic than a loud, obnoxious one. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System self-empties and is ideal for reducing your cleanup time.
In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ quickly took away dirt, dust, and pet hair. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in place instead of scattering it across the floor. It even could take small gravel and sand that other robots can't. It did without getting caught up in our pet's hair.
Although it's not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent option for those who require both a vac and a mop in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that use robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and at times it's hard to determine if the update is actually working until you see it in action.
- Roborock Q5+
When you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be hybrid. These bots are equipped with a tank of water so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. These bots also come with a variety of extra features like smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. They're expensive at retail, but they often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock makes several of our top robotic vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. disappoint. This is the least expensive model in their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't include some of the premium features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories) however, it's a great choice when you're willing to compromise to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is exceptionally soft when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it a great choice for homes that have a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to cleaning up dust bunnies, which is a place which many robot vacuums fall short. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is excellent too, with very little missing in corners and on walls.
The Q5+, just like other Roborock products, can be controlled by only a few buttons on your device or via the Roborock App. With the app you can start and stop cleaning and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and adjust your home map, or change the labeling of rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+, it comes with a brand new auto-empty dock that's designed specifically to make this robot easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, however, once it's in place it is done easily. It also comes with a large LCD display that is great to have when you're creating schedules or changing settings. This isn't a necessity for everyone, but it's one that will aid in keeping the track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot easily.
- Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively smart in both its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and functionality are some of the most advanced available - but it's also pricey.
It is a relatively small base station that looks beautiful and is able to be concealed when not in use. But the station's biggest selling point is how it automates numerous tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It can keep clean and dirty water and also electrolyze and warm the water. Most other robovacs will require you to perform this.
Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's the only robovac I've tested that does a good job picking up the dust from floors with no. And it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially when it comes to navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs. This means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain areas of the home. It's also not able to climb stairs like other models and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning area for carpets with plush padding.
Although it doesn't have as much in the way of cleaning options available in its app, or as many shortcuts within the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for a comprehensive robot vacuum and mop that's worth the premium price price.
If you're looking to cut costs or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are alternatives available. Many of the eufy models cost substantially less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and provides the same experience in the app, but with additional features such as stairs, a fully-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.
- eufy RoboVac G30
eufy is an Anker company that has a long history of creating robot vacuums with the right balance of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning on hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at an affordable price point. It's easy to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, turn it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock will need to be placed near an outlet with plenty of space to move.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be precise, which means it can be tucked away under couches and other low-clearance furniture. Its design is more subtle when compared to rival models. It has a sleek black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern over two minutes), Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.
The main aspect that makes the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It uses an integrated map to make an image of the immovable items in its path. It can remember the items it has cleaned and where it cannot access. It will return to the base to recharge and continues cleaning the area it left.
The sleek G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower monthly costs. It is faster to charge, has similar battery life and is more effective on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It has a larger dust bin that doesn't require as much emptying. It also comes with boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust container does not require emptying as often and it struggles less with bulky materials such as cereal.
